WeLCOME TO TECHSAUSE

Techsauceph started as a blog I had in 2002 on Blogger.com called Tech SOS. Being some kind of handyman I gave tips on how to fix things like handling SCSI connections, updating the Mac from 110V to 220V with just one wire, and other such sorceries.

I am Raymond Gregory Tribdino and I am a  journalist. I started writing tech in 1999 when it was not yet too fashionable through a column in the late Cip Roxas' newspaper, the Philippine Post. It was a short lived paper but I had enough IT exposure to ensure continuity years after.

Before I wrote tech, I covered the Calabarzon for BusinessWorld from 1994 to 1999. The visionary Raul Locsin already knew that the Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon economic corridor was going to be big. And BusinessWorld was the first one in that frontier territory.

My IT background and programming skills came in handy when in 1995 BusinessWorld set up BusinessWorld Online, the first online publication in the country. I did double duties as correspondent and web programmer. It was a time when text had to be inserted between brackets.

Also working for BusinessWorld, Mr. Locsin discovered my passion for cars after I fixed his Pajero which was not cranking up. I primed the fuel pump manually and it was alive. I asked him to tell his driver to fill up and we bled the system. That afternoon he "ordered" me to write for motoring.

Midway through this journey I wrote between IT and motoring having columns in various newspapers and magazines.
